September Update from Good Shepherd

God bless you dear brothers because this month I think it is difficult for our church as some members have been broken in their faith.  Sin has done much harm to our country. It diverts people with every temptation. Still we believe and will continue putting our hopes in Jesus Christ as God’s power is immeasurable and no one can hold you and pray to God to save his people from all stalking of sin. We ask you to continue praying for work in rough river because we will not stop and will continue telling Christ saves people and only in Him we have redemption. Now our meetings are on Wednesdays at 7pm and six p.m. Sunday.

God bless you,  Pastor Vic

Spirit of Faith Celebrates Independence Day

September 16 is the day we celebrate our independence in Mexico. Last night we gathered together and had a service. What we celebrate is the freedom we have to exalt the name of our Lord. People dressed with the colors of our flag. Also we had a meal with lots of Mexican style dishes like tacos, enchiladas, gorditas with different fillings and different sauces. It was a great night. Thank God for our freedom.

A New Embryo Has Been Fertilized!

A new congregation will be born. The power of the Holy Spirit is at work in Allende Nuevo León, just an hour away south of Monterrey.

Spirit of Truth Lutheran Church is in the process of being developed. God is leading us. There have been conversations between Oscar Beltran and myself concerning the need of establishing a Lutheran ministry in Allende. Oscar has the heart and love to reach out to people whose lives are in need of God’s redeeming intervention. Oscar and his wife Gaby and their two little kids are excited about it. Oscar is from Allende and lives in Allende. He is an expert in computers, setting any kind of alarms and also has a little shop to fix cellulars and computers and also sells different kinds of cell accessories.

Oscar has been a member of Spirit of Joy for more than 8 years and lives in that particular city. He studies the Scriptures, books related to the ministry and the Lord’s work. He is very sensitive to the Holy Spirit and has been my disciple for many years. Now we feel it is the time for him to start reaching out in his community and engage people into our Lutheran ministry.

August Update from Family of God

Pastor Juan Vazquez.

We thank God for the people who support our ministry and to visit the blog where we present the news and activities of our church.

This July and August was of intense activity and great achievements for our ministry.

The day 20 to July 29, 2015 our family and church was visited by people and very special friends who encouraged the people in our community to remain faithful in their faith to God and faithful to the church.

City of Matamoros Tamaulipas we visited Pastor Paul Monrreal, his wife Olga, his son Paul of 17 years and her young son Abraham 5 years. Paul and Olga are pastors of the Christian Pentecost “Heaven’s Gate” Church they are my friends since adolescence. He was sharing the Word in our Sunday service, and praying for the sick people in our Bible study meeting on Tuesdays. His son Paul participated with special songs of worship, and strengthen the faith of young people in the church with his testimony and friendship. His presence among us said and confirmed the work of God in the lives of people in our church.
From July 25 to August 1 we visited Daniel and Nathan godchildren mine and my wife Teresita who baptized when they were young. They are children of Pastor Juan Cortes y Gabriela of “Gloria Dei Lutheran Church” in the city of Arteaga Coahuila. They decided to come to support our ministry here in Zapopan, his job was to interact with our youth and affirm their faith through their words of encouragement and testimony of Christian life. Shared his musical talent and his friendship with the youth and children of our church and the impact on their lives was great. They supported our youth in the distribution of 800 invitations for Vacation Bible School in our community.

Saturday August 1 we began our first meeting of Youth. It was a great meeting young people had fun, ate pizza, praised God, hear the Word of God, some gave their testimony of how they came to God and that God means in their lives.
On August 3 to 7 we celebrate Vacation Bible School in two places on the same day. In the morning in the area where our church is located, and one in a rural area near our church.
During the five days we had the VBS had an attendance of more than 110 children between the two places. For us children attended each worth three children as preach the gospel in Jalisco it is harder than anywhere else in the country.
In the morning we had an attendance of nearly 80 children. In the afternoon we help our friends and Adriana Horacio starting a new church and nearly 30 children attended the course. We support them with material left over from previous years, gifts and our youth to teach and support other activities.

We have learned to depend on God in every project and he always surprises us doing miracles to supply what we need beyond what we asked and imagine to carry out each project in order to accomplish the task that He entrusted to us. A person Zapopan government did not know who struck by the great work we did among children donated more than 65 high quality gifts for children, and 50 backpacks with school supplies for the new back to school. God also supplied for meals everyday and we had great closing.

Keep praying for the Family Community of God, for to be a new small church God is doing great things up a difficult place to preach the Gospel. Our needs are many, the most important economic resources to hire a large and Sundays because the garage of my house is enough place. We know that their prayers have been made with faith and God will supply what we need according to his riches in glory.

Blessings and may the God of all grace strengthen us, establish and affirm his ways and purpose.

Pastor Juan Vazquez.

Thank God this month we do the floor of the entrance because when rain was very difficult to leave. Also we buy another 7 chairs and tables now that will make the vacation Bible school 20, 21 and 22 of this month.  I ask you to pray that God does  help impact the hearts of children and adults who come on this occasion. I send my love and blessing in Christ brothers.
